
Meeting Minutes, 8 March, 2005
Chairman Halsey Sprecher called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. All board members were present. Supervisor Ron Lins made a motion to approve the agenda, after a discussion of Comprehensive Planning was added. John Lichtenheld seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Next the clerk read the February minutes and Treasurers reports which were approved as read. The board then reviewed the Towns 2005 Insurance bids. John Lichtenheld made a motion to accept Rural Insurances bid. Ron Lins seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Rurals bid was the lowest bid presented. Next, the board discussed bids for a new Town Tractor. Because of a misunderstanding about the old tractor trade-in the board delayed making a decision. John Lichtenheld made a motion to reject all bids and to have the dealers resubmit new bids which include the old tractor trade-in. Ron Lins seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
Next, John Lichtenheld made a motion to send the budgeted funds to both Recreation Departments. Ron Lins seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
The board then directed the clerk to send a letter to both Recreation departments informing them that the board would only fund one department in the future and they hoped both departments could work towards consolidating into one Recreation Department.
Next, Halsey Sprecher made a motion to have both Ron and John attend a Sauk Prairie Recreation meeting scheduled for April 13, 2005. Ron Lins seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
Next, the board decided to have 3 election workers for the April 5, 2005 election. Next, the board decided to put off setting a road inspection date until the April meeting.
Ron Lins then updated the board concerning airport and ambulance discussions. The board then discussed Comprehensive Planning but didn’t make any decisions.
Meeting adjourned at 9:38 pm.
